Registered Nurse Nights at Highgate Care – Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, United Kingdom
Job Type: Permanent, Full‑time (36 hours per week, including occasional evenings and weekends).
Salary: £21.82 per hour.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Responsible for high‑standard care to residents in accordance with care plans and appropriate hand‑over to ensure all needs are continuously met.
- Help ensure junior and ancillary staff contribute to efficient running of the home and create a homely atmosphere.
- Report any ill health among clients and make requests for GP/Professional visits where necessary.
- Ensure that Clients Care Plans are completed and maintained in conjunction with Clients, relatives and other Health Care Professionals, in accordance with NMC guidelines and Company policy.
- Assess all aspects of clients’ care needs and provide health supervision and direct Nursing Care.
- Assess social and health care needs of new clients and maintain ongoing assessment and review of other clients.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure that each Client within the Care Home has an individualised Care Plan; review bi‑annually or more frequently as required.
- Carry out regular checks on Clients at intervals determined by the Home Manager and provide clear handover reports at the end of each shift.
- Undertake tasks including distribution of prescribed medication, dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding and appropriate intervention in the management of chronic medical conditions, documenting in accordance with the Company’s procedure and NMC guidelines.
- Liaise with health and social care professionals involved in the well‑being of residents to maintain a holistic approach to their care.
- Practice maximum integrity in all dealings with clients’ personal and financial affairs and avoid abuse of the privileged relationship.
- Act at all times within NMC Code of Conduct; maintain a current NMC registration and meet criteria for Revalidation.
