We’re currently looking for a Registered Manager to join the team at Priestley Care Home in Bristall.

- What You’ll Be Doing
- Manage the day‑to‑day running of all aspects of the home including the standards and quality of care, recruitment and training, communication with the team, premises and financial matters.
- Recognise and assess individuals’ needs, involving relevant professional agencies and relatives where needed, in order to formulate personalised care plans.
- Ensure the highest level of personal care and attention is delivered to residents following individual care plans and ensuring all contact is polite, friendly, warm and supportive.
- Responsible for understanding and complying with statutory and legal requirements relevant throughout the home, including HACCP, COSHH, Health and Safety, all aspects of the Care Standards Act to maintain a safe environment.
- Monitor the effective running of the home ensuring all legislation and regulations concerning environmental health, infection control, building control, planning and health and safety are met; and all risk assessments are regularly carried out (including fire checks).
- Maintain all legal and statutory records, displayed records concerning the home; insurance certificates, registration documents; records of complaints, Safety User Guide and Statement of Purpose, financial, employee training, residents and maintenance, legal advisers.
Investigate any complaints, compile reports and take appropriate action.
Liaise and co‑operate with CSCI inspectors and inspections.
- Ensure residents’ individual care plans are followed, administer medication as prescribed, accurately maintain appropriate records, oversee ordering, checking in, and stock control of residents’ prescribed medication.
- Be an active and encouraging manager, establish and maintain effective communication and good relationships with residents, relatives, employees in the home and external professionals and suppliers.
- Oversee staff organisation: staff rota, adequate staffing levels and shift coverage, manage staff holidays and sickness levels.
- Oversee and ensure residents are supported with their personal financial arrangements, maintaining confidentiality of all information, and that any financial transaction is recorded and treated with honesty.
