We're recruiting for an experienced Technical Author to support a major Sellafield nuclear project.
You'll play a key role within the Pre-Operations team, producing high-quality operational documentation that enables the safe commissioning and operation of nuclear facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Produce Operation, Maintenance and Emergency Instructions.
Develop Risk Assessments to support working-level procedures.
Review engineering drawings, design information and vendor documentation.
Carry out plant validation and update documentation following site walkdowns.
Liaise with engineering and commissioning stakeholders.
Attend progress meetings and provide regular status updates.
Ensure documentation meets the highest safety and quality standards.
Essential Requirements
Previous experience working within the UK nuclear industry.
Minimum HNC (or equivalent) in Mechanical, Electrical or a related Engineering discipline.
Experience producing or reviewing technical documentation, operating procedures or maintenance instructions.
Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel and Visio).
Able to obtain SC Security Clearance.
Desirable
Previous Technical Author experience. Commissioning or Pre-Operations experience. Knowledge of Sellafield documentation and procedural standards.
What's on Offer
Up to £51.00 per hour (Umbrella PAYE).
