Are you an experienced Process Engineer looking to make an impact on one of the UK's most important nuclear programmes? We're seeking a talented engineer to join a specialist team delivering critical process engineering solutions that support the development of new retrieval and operational systems within a highly regulated nuclear environment.
What you'll be doing:
- Designing and assessing fluid transfer systems for radioactive liquors and effluent streams
- Developing sampling systems and process solutions for complex nuclear operations
- Producing key engineering documentation including Basis of Design, Process Calculations and Process Descriptions
- Supporting HAZOPs, safety assessments and nuclear substantiation
- Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary engineering, project and operations teams
- Presenting designs at technical and assurance reviews
We're looking for:
- Degree (or Master's) in Chemical Engineering
- Experience delivering process engineering on large, complex projects
- Knowledge of fluid systems, hazardous liquid handling and process safety
- Strong report writing and communication skills
- Experience producing engineering design documentation
- Background in nuclear or another highly regulated industry
Desirable:
- Experience with Sellafield processes and procedures
- Nuclear safety case development
- Chartered Engineer (IChemE) status
