Warrington (Hybrid - 3 Days On Site) £61-£67 per Hour (Inside IR35) Long-Term Contract

Are you an experienced Lead CE&I Electrical Engineer looking to play a pivotal role on one of the UK's most technically challenging nuclear programmes? We're seeking an accomplished engineer to take ownership of Control, Electrical & Instrumentation (CE&I) design across a portfolio of front-end engineering (FEED) projects, leading multidisciplinary design delivery from concept through to detailed design. If you thrive in highly regulated environments, enjoy leading design teams and want to influence major engineering decisions, this is an opportunity to make a real impact.

The Role

  • Lead the delivery of CE&I design packages, ensuring projects progress safely, efficiently and to programme.
  • Working within an integrated engineering team, you'll:
    • Lead the CE&I design delivery for major FEED projects
    • Drive engineering solutions from concept through preliminary and detailed design
    • Produce and review high-quality engineering documentation
    • Lead design reviews and provide technical guidance to engineers and designers
    • Support installation and commissioning with design query resolution
    • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated engineering solutions
    • Estimate engineering effort, manage design schedules and support project planning
    • Ensure all work complies with CDM regulations and quality management processes

What You'll Bring

We're looking for someone with significant experience delivering CE&I projects within highly regulated industries, ideally nuclear. You'll have experience with:

  • Electrical Power & LV Services Design
  • Process Instrumentation Design
  • CE&I Safety Systems
  • Programmable Electronic Systems (PES)
  • Radiometric Instrumentation
  • Panel layouts, cable routing, cable management and cable calculations

You'll also be confident in:

  • Leading engineering teams and design delivery
  • Producing and checking technical documentation
  • Translating client requirements into practical engineering solutions
  • Front-end engineering, optioneering and design strategy
  • Working to demanding project milestones
  • Communicating effectively with clients and multidisciplinary teams

Experience with Machinery Safety, UKCA Marking, and managing design delivery teams would be highly advantageous.

About You

You'll ideally hold:

  • ONC minimum (Engineering Degree preferred)
  • IEng or CEng professional registration
  • A collaborative approach with excellent communication skills
  • Strong technical leadership and mentoring capability
