A highly urgent requirement exists for an experienced Freelance Project Manager to lead a critical highways project in the Stoke area. This role offers an immediate start for Early Contractor Involvement (ECI), transitioning into full project delivery in May. The successful candidate will be central to the coordination and delivery of key civil works, contributing to the upgrade and maintenance of essential infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate all aspects of the civil works project on the A500.
- Participate in ECI meetings, supporting project pricing and planning.
- Oversee light replacement, footway upgrades, carriageway alignment, and minor drainage works.
- Ensure efficient project delivery within agreed timelines and budgets.
- Manage project resources, teams, and stakeholder engagement effectively.
- Maintain clear communication with clients and internal teams.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven Project Manager experience in civil/highways projects.
- Hands-on experience with light replacement, footway upgrades, carriageway alignment, and drainage works.
- Strong organizational and coordination skills.
- Ability to work on a freelance basis.
- Familiarity with CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) and operating via limited companies.
- Experience with ECI processes is highly desirable.
Desirable:
- Prior experience on Highways England Area 9 projects.
