We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to join a major infrastructure project in Gloucester, working with a leading Tier 1 contractor. This role will focus on the delivery of bridge and structural works, making it an excellent opportunity for an engineer with a strong background in structures who is looking to contribute to a high-profile civil engineering scheme.
Responsibilities
- Setting out and overseeing bridge and structural construction activities
- Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with design drawings, specifications and quality standards
- Producing and maintaining accurate site records, surveys and as-built documentation
- Supporting the management team with technical queries and engineering solutions
- Coordinating with subcontractors and site teams to ensure efficient project delivery
- Conducting inspections and ensuring compliance with project requirements
- Promoting and maintaining high standards of health, safety and environmental performance
Requirements
- Proven experience working as a Site Engineer on bridge and structural projects
- Strong understanding of reinforced concrete, foundations, bridge construction and associated structural works
- Competent in setting out and surveying duties
- Valid CSCS card
- Major infrastructure project experience desirable
