Site Engineer - Highways Location: Highways Project Rate: 490 per day PAYE Umbrella Contract: 1 month holiday cover, with potential for extension Proposed End Date: 25/09/2026 Start: ASAP We are currently seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join a highways project on an initial 1-month holiday cover contract, with potential for extension. The successful candidate will be responsible for site engineering control and implementation of works, including setting out, quality control, site records, progress monitoring and supporting the wider site team. Key Responsibilities Setting out from primary control using level, EDM and GPS. Reading and interpreting drawings, schedules, specifications and contract documentation. Producing setting-out sketches and maintaining survey equipment. Contributing to the production and briefing of Permits to Dig. Producing Task Briefing Sheets and supporting site safety briefings and inspections. Supporting hazard identification and the development of Safe Systems of Work.
