About the Project
We are delivering a major highway development in Gloucester and are seeking an experienced Section Engineer to join the team. This is a fully site-based role, offering hands-on involvement in a significant infrastructure project for a 9-12 month period.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate works within your allocated section of the project.
- Monitor daily progress and report on section-specific milestones.
- Ensure all works within your section comply with design drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, and stakeholders to resolve section-related issues.
- Support the Site Engineer in implementing health and safety procedures on site.
- Prepare section-specific documentation, including daily reports, method statements, risk assessments, and quality records.
- Assist in managing resources, materials, and plant within your section.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Tier 1 Contractor experience - essential
- Proven experience on major infrastructure/highway projects
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) - mandatory
- CSCS Card - mandatory
- Fully site-based experience
- Full UK driving license - essential due to site location
Desirable Skills & Qualifications
- CAT & Genny / EUSR certification - ideal
- Experience with large civils/groundworks operations
