We are currently recruiting an experienced Senior Authorised Person (SAP) to join a major data centre project in the Netherlands. This is a long-term opportunity working on a high-profile, fast-paced project within a critical environment.

The Role

As a Senior Authorised Person, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe control, operation, and energisation of LV/MV/HV electrical systems across the project. Typical responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as the appointed SAP for electrical systems and switching operations
  • Preparing and issuing Permits to Work, isolations, and safety documentation
  • Managing and executing HV/LV switching schedules and system energisation
  • Supporting commissioning and interfacing with project and client teams
  • Ensuring compliance with electrical safety rules and industry standards
  • Coordinating with engineers, subcontractors, and stakeholders on-site
  • Maintaining accurate records of all switching and permit activities
  • Leading safety briefings and ensuring a strong safety culture on-site

These duties are standard for SAP roles on large-scale data centre and infrastructure projects, where safe switching, permits, and commissioning support are core requirements.

Requirements

  • Proven experience working as a Senior Authorised Person (SAP)
  • Strong background in HV/LV systems, switching, and permit control
  • Data centre experience preferred (or other critical infrastructure projects)
  • Ideally holds Dutch certifications, but other industry-wide recognised certifications are accepted (City + Guilds, EAL...)
  • EU passport preferred, however UK passport holders considered
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
