We are currently seeking an experienced Quality Engineer / QC Inspector to provide QA/QC support across a range of projects at AWE, Burghfield. This is a long-term contract opportunity offering excellent rates and flexible hybrid working.
The Role
You will support projects from initial kick-off through to final completion, ensuring all quality requirements are met in line with established standards and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and accept procedures and documentation in line with QC1 requirements
- Carry out QC inspections in accordance with approved Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
- Ongoing review and final acceptance of Life Time Records (LTRs)
- Perform final release inspections
- Witness testing activities as required
- Attend project, quality, and stakeholder meetings
- Provide robust QA/QC support across multiple project stages
Essential Requirements
- Active SC Clearance (minimum - must be live)
- Proven experience in nuclear and/or defence environments
- Strong background in Quality Engineering and QC Inspection
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within regulated environments
