Role Overview
We are recruiting an experienced Commissioning Manager to support a major nuclear defence programme at AWE Burghfield. The role involves managing and coordinating commissioning activities across specialist equipment, building services, and control systems on a highly regulated site.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage commissioning work packages and supplier activities
- Ensure compliance with AWE procedures and ONR LC21
- Review and approve test documentation
- Plan, coordinate, and witness FAT/SAT
- Integrate commissioning activities into the project programme
- Track readiness, report progress, and resolve test failures
- Chair commissioning and stakeholder reviews
- Ensure safe systems of work during testing and commissioning
Requirements
- Strong experience commissioning large, complex facilities
- Background in nuclear, defence, or similarly regulated sectors
- Proven ability to lead multi-discipline commissioning teams
- Solid knowledge of commissioning methodologies
- Degree-qualified (or equivalent experience)
- SC or DV clearance preferred (or willing to obtain)
- Full UK driving licence
