The Role
We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer with an EC&I / Control Systems background to support commissioning activities on a major programme at AWE. You will be responsible for supporting the testing, commissioning and handover of electrical, instrumentation and control systems within a highly regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Commissioning and testing of EC&I and control systems
- Fault-finding, functional testing and system verification
- Reviewing commissioning documentation, test procedures and drawings
- Supporting installation, pre-commissioning and handover
- Working closely with engineering, construction and project teams
- Ensuring commissioning activities meet safety, quality and project requirements
Requirements
- Proven commissioning experience within EC&I, C&I or Control Systems
- Experience with PLC/SCADA and control systems
- Strong understanding of electrical/instrumentation systems
- Experience working on complex, highly regulated engineering projects
- Live SC or DV clearance - essential
- Valid CSCS card - essential
- A relevant HNC/HND or degree in Electrical, Control & Instrumentation, Automation or Engineering preferred
- AWE experience highly desirable
- Nuclear, defence, process or other safety-critical experience advantageous
