Quantity Surveyor Salary: £50-80k DOE Location: Cuffley, Hertfordshire (on-site/office based) Project Value Range: £100K-£3M Project Type: Data Centre fit-outs & labour-only installs Travel: Optional travel across Europe Are you a commercially astute Quantity Surveyor who thrives on independence, precision, and pace? We\’re looking for a well-rounded QS to join our team in Cuffley and take full ownership of a busy portfolio of fast-moving Data Centre fit-out and labour-only installation projects across the UK and Europe. No red tape, no micromanagement – just solid commercial leadership across multiple projects where your skill and judgement really matter. The Opportunity: This is a hands-on, self-sufficient role. You\’ll be managing up to 20 live projects simultaneously, ranging in value from £100K to £3 million, all at different stages of delivery. These are lean, fast-paced fit-outs – and you\’ll be the commercial lead from start to finish. You won\’t be tied to a desk, but you will need to be on-site or in the Cuffley office – no remote working. If you\’re open to it, there\’s scope for European travel too. What You\’ll Be Doing: Running multiple small to medium projects independently from commercial kickoff through to final account Preparing and managing budgets, forecasts, and cost plans with minimal oversight Handling variations, contract administration, valuations, and procurement end-to-end Working closely with project teams without relying heavily on site-based support Maintaining accurate commercial records and reporting Advising on risks, opportunities, and cost-saving measures Liaising with clients and suppliers to keep everything on track What We\’re Looking For: A self-sufficient QS with at least 3 years\’ experience managing multiple projects Comfortable juggling a high volume of smaller, fast-turnaround jobs Solid understanding of commercial and contractual principles Experience in M&E or fit-out projects is great – but not essential Able to work on-site and from the Cuffley office (no WFH) Confident communicator who thrives in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment Willing to travel across Europe if needed (optional) Strong with numbers, contracts, and client relationships Why Join Us?
