An experienced Sub Agent is required to support delivery of the Water Retaining Barrier works at Devonport Dockyard, a live MOD/Royal Navy facility. The role is fully site-based and involves managing engineering, subcontractors, safety, quality, programme, and commercial inputs within a secure environment. BPSS clearance is required (can take up to 8 weeks). Candidates must hold a NATO or MISWG passport and have 5 years UK residency.
Key Responsibilities
- Support safe and efficient delivery of works in a live MOD environment
- Lead and manage engineering and site teams
- Manage subcontractors, resources, and site records
- Monitor progress against programme and implement mitigation where required
- Ensure RAMS, ITPs, and quality processes are in place and followed
- Support cost management, reporting, and BIM processes
Requirements
Essential
- Construction or engineering qualification (Degree/HND/HNC/NVQ or equivalent)
- Proven civils/construction delivery experience
- CSCS, SMSTS or SSSTS
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Experience with lifting operations
Desirable
- ICE IEng (or equivalent)
- Temporary Works experience
- RC/marine civils/steelwork experience
- Nuclear or Defence sector experience
