We're recruiting for an experienced Sub Agent to join a major civil engineering project in the Penrith area. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a leading contractor on a long-term infrastructure scheme, with an immediate start available.
You'll take responsibility for managing the delivery of a package of works including small structures, earthworks and traffic interface activities, while leading a team of engineers and subcontractors to ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.
The Role
- Manage the delivery of small civil engineering structures, including the construction of a culvert.
- Oversee earthworks operations and coordinate associated activities.
- Manage interface with live traffic and ensure works are planned and delivered safely.
- Lead and supervise a small team of Site Engineers and subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with programme, quality and health & safety requirements.
- Liaise with the wider project team to drive efficient delivery.
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Sub Agent on major civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
- Strong background in earthworks and structures.
- Experience managing engineers, subcontractors and day-to-day site operations.
- Good understanding of health & safety and quality procedures.
- Able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced project environment.
- Flexibility to work occasional night shifts is essential.
Night Working
There is an upcoming 2-week block of night shifts in July, paid at 1.5x the standard day rate. Candidates must be willing to work these shifts when required.
