Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a Night Shift Site Engineer for a key infrastructure project in Surrey. The successful candidate will play a critical role in the delivery of works relating to Technology, Street Lighting, and Traffic Signal installation and cabling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting out works in accordance with project drawings and specifications.
- Managing night shift operations and overseeing installation activities.
- Creating and briefing permits (including RAMS, TM permits, etc.).
- Coordinating with subcontractors and site teams to ensure timely progress.
- Daily reporting of site progress and engineering issues.
- Ensuring works are carried out safely and in line with quality standards.
- Supporting the Site Manager and Project Engineer with technical input and compliance.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Site Engineer on highway or infrastructure projects.
- Strong setting out and permit-to-work experience.
- Familiarity with street lighting, traffic signal systems, and associated cabling.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills.
- CSCS card (essential).
- SSSTS/SMSTS and NRSWA (desirable).
- Ability to work independently during night shifts.
