We're on the lookout for experienced Mechanical Technicians to support a range of high-hazard operations, plant installations, and specialist engineering tasks across the UK. You'll play a hands-on role in delivering critical mechanical work across nuclear and industrial sites, joining a skilled team at the forefront of technical delivery.
The Role
- Installing, assembling, operating, and dismantling a wide range of plant equipment and test rigs
- Carrying out site and workshop-based activities as directed by project supervisors
- Ensuring all work is completed to the highest safety and technical standards
- Maintaining clear documentation and supporting continuous improvement
This is a mobile role, and candidates must be willing to travel and work away from home where required.
What You'll Bring
Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in a mechanical engineering discipline - Essential
- Advanced Apprenticeship / NVQ Level 4 or BTEC - Essential
- GCSEs in English, Maths, Science or Technical Subject - Desirable
- CSCS Card & Level 2 Health & Safety - Desirable
Experience:
- Proven experience in mechanical assembly and fitting - Essential
- Familiarity with workshop and site environments - Essential
- Lifting & slinging experience - Essential
- Welding and Swagelok pipe fitting - Desirable
Skills:
- Confident using hand tools and general workshop machinery
- Able to interpret and work to mechanical engineering drawings
- A collaborative and safety-first approach
Security Requirement
Due to the nature of the work, Security Clearance is essential. Applicants must be eligible and willing to undergo the DV clearance process and already hold SC.
