The predicted salary is between 45 - 57 £ per hour.
As Project Quality Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring quality compliance across construction activities, supporting the Construction Manager and interfacing closely with the client, Consultancies and wider quality teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Support QC activities, ensuring documentation is available in a timely manner for sign-off and BV activities
- Compile LTRs, Orbit check sheets and ITPs, ensuring all documentation is concurrent
- Ensure all procedures are followed in line with company and client requirements
- Raise NOIs and liaise with BV as required
- Undertake QC sign-off where applicable
- Support and assist the Construction Manager in delivery of the construction phase
- Liaise directly with the client on quality matters
- Assist with NCRs and concessions, supporting timely close-out of internal and external NCRs
- Ensure Lessons From Experience (LFE) are shared with relevant stakeholders
- Analyse failures and implement corrective and preventative actions
- Provide weekly quality updates to the Quality Lead
- Carry out site audits, close out findings, produce audit reports and define corrective/preventative actions
- Support client audits and NIS Chorley audits
- Provide feedback to the Head of Quality (Chorley)
- Update goods‐inwards and acceptance documentation
- Liaise with EHS to ensure all activities are covered by appropriate SSoW
- Support P2C reviews, progress tracking and forecasting
- Review and maintain ITPs, ensuring they are up to date and signed off
- Ensure QC1 items are managed and stored in line with quality requirements
- Maintain full compliance with company procedures and policies
- Represent NIS Ltd professionally at all times
- Attend weekly package meetings and NIS meetings as required
Requirements
- Active SC Clearance (essential)
- Strong experience in construction quality within regulated environments (nuclear, MOD, defence or similar)
- Confident interfacing with clients, inspectors and third‐party assurance bodies
- Strong documentation, audit and NCR management experience
