Location: Hybrid - 2 days in Warrington Office

The Role
We are seeking an experienced Principal Electrical, Control & Instrumentation (CE&I) Engineer to lead the electrical systems design for the SIXEP Cooling Towers and other local projects. This is a key technical leadership role, responsible for driving CE&I design delivery from concept and preliminary design through to detailed design, installation and commissioning support. You will play a pivotal role within a small, integrated design team, providing technical leadership, assurance, and hands-on expertise across all aspects of CE&I engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and take full responsibility for CE&I design delivery across assigned projects
- Produce, review and check engineering deliverables through all design phases
- Provide technical support during installation and commissioning, addressing design queries as they arise
- Work collaboratively with the Integrated Design Team, facility teams, systems engineering and wider project functions
- Contribute to and author multi-discipline design documentation, including (but not limited to):
- Project Requirement Documents
- Basis of Design
- Project Verification Plans
- Quality Plans
- Design Justification Reports
Essential Experience & Skills
- Proven experience leading and managing CE&I design delivery teams
- Strong background in Machinery Safety and UKCA Marking
- Process instrumentation design experience
- LV electrical power and services design
- Solid understanding of CE&I design processes and required deliverables
- Experience delivering work within the SL Management System
- Estimating, scheduling, and progress reporting capability
- Strong collaborative skills with the ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams
Desirable Experience
- Programmable Electronic Systems
- Radiometric Instrumentation
