We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Agent / Manager to join a busy highways maintenance and improvement contract in Suffolk. This is an excellent opportunity to join a long-term highways framework delivering planned and reactive works for the local authority.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time and within budget while maintaining high health & safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise highways schemes and reactive works on site
  • Ensure safe systems of work, RAMS and Construction Phase Plans are implemented and adhered to
  • Coordinate labour, plant, materials and subcontractors efficiently
  • Maintain accurate site records, diaries and progress reports
  • Liaise with stakeholders including local authorities, network managers and supply chain partners
  • Support programme delivery, phasing plans and buildability reviews
  • Monitor commercial performance and assist with cost control
  • Promote a strong health & safety culture across site operations
Requirements
  • SSSTS and CSCS essential
  • IOSH desirable
  • Strong understanding of health & safety and safe systems of work
  • Previous highways or construction site management experience
  • Local authority or highways maintenance experience advantageous
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment
  • Candidates with a solid construction background and CITB-accredited experience will also be considered.
