We are currently seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join a major infrastructure project on the A9, involving the construction of approximately 10km of new dual carriageway. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high-profile highways scheme with an established contractor, offering an initial 3-month contract with strong potential for extension.

The Role

As Site Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of key construction activities across the project, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Setting out and surveying works on site.
  • Ensuring compliance with design specifications and project requirements.
  • Managing quality assurance documentation and site records.
  • Coordinating with site teams, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
  • Supporting the delivery of programme milestones and construction activities.
  • Assisting with technical queries and site engineering solutions.

Requirements

Candidates should have proven experience in one or more of the following disciplines:

  • Earthworks
  • Drainage
  • Roadworks
  • Structures

Contract Details

Rate: £500 per day (Inside IR35)
Duration: Initial 3-month contract
Extension: Scope for further extensions
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Location: A9 Dualling Project
Lodge: Expected to be covered within the advertised day rate

Ideal Candidate

Previous experience working on major highways or civil engineering projects. Strong setting out and surveying capabilities. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary site team. Relevant engineering qualifications and CSCS card.
