Job Title: Foreperson / Site Supervisor Location: Coton Village, Cambridge Contract Type: Full-Time – Freelance Duration: 1st September – Christmas (Approx. 15 Weeks) Working Hours: Day Shifts Rate: Competitive – Inside IR35 Project Overview: We are seeking an experienced Foreperson / Site Supervisor to oversee a small-scale highways scheme in Coton Village, Cambridge. This is a key on-site supervisory role ensuring the effective coordination of daily operations, safety compliance, and delivery to programme on a live highways site. Key Responsibilities: Daily supervision of operatives and subcontractors on site Ensure works are delivered safely, to spec, and within programme and budget Carry out site inductions and toolbox talks Coordinate plant, materials, and logistics as required Liaise with engineers, local authorities, and project management teams Maintain site diaries and progress reports Ensure full compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards Essential Requirements: Proven experience in a similar supervisory role on highways or civils projects SSSTS or SMSTS certification (essential) CSCS card (Gold or Black preferred) First Aid at Work (desirable) Strong communication and team leadership skills Ability to read drawings and manage site activities effectively Full UK driving licence Additional Information: Role is Inside IR35 Must be available to start on 1st September Work is expected to run through to Christmas 2025 (approx. 15 weeks)
