This role is for recruiters who already know what they’re doing. You’re good at recruitment, you can bill, you love building relationships with clients and candidates but maybe your desk feels capped. At Highfield, we recruit exclusively into critical infrastructure. These are long-term, resilient sectors where relationships matter. You won’t be selling volume recruitment or racing to the bottom on fees. You’ll be building a niche, becoming known for something, and growing a desk that is yours and lasts.

You’ll take ownership of a warm desk in one of our core sectors. There is existing work, live relationships and plenty of white space to grow. You will run a full 360 role, but with the backing, brand and market positioning to do it properly. This is for recruiters who want autonomy, trust and the chance to build something meaningful.

Why experienced consultants join us

Experienced consultants join us because they’re trusted to build something that’s genuinely theirs. When someone comes in with a clear idea of how they want to grow their desk, we will back you all the way. You’ll have the right tools, proper training, hands-on support and an operations team that’s just as invested in your success as you are. Rewards are personal too and are built around what actually matters to you. That might be saving for a big life moment, proposing, buying a house, starting a family or planning a trip of a lifetime.

From day one, you’ll have the autonomy to make decisions, the freedom to run your desk without micromanagement, and a team around you that shares, supports and pulls in the same direction.

The role

  • Owning and growing a specialist desk within critical infrastructure
  • Building long-term client relationships based on trust and delivery
  • Running the full recruitment lifecycle from qualification to placement
  • Developing your personal brand and becoming known in your market
  • Working to clear targets with uncapped earning potential
  • Shaping how your desk and niche evolve over time

This is likely for you if

  • You have recruitment experience and a proven billing track record
  • You want more ownership and less micromanagement
  • You like the idea of working in a resilient, technical market
  • You care about doing recruitment properly and building relationships with clients
  • You want to get out and visit your customers wherever they are - we have a travel budget we want you to spend!
  • You’re ambitious and want progression through performance
  • You want to be trusted to run your desk like a business

What you’ll get

  • Competitive base salary with uncapped commission
  • Realistic first-year OTE of £50k–£70k, with no ceiling beyond that
  • Clear progression based on impact, not time served
  • A warm desk with room to grow your own market
  • 3pm Friday finishes, team incentives and socials
  • Competitive holiday allowance and a chance to earn unlimited leave once passed probation
  • Monthly wellbeing allowance
  • A high-performing, supportive team you’ll actually enjoy working with
  • The chance to build a desk that lasts

Why people stay

People stay because they are trusted. Because their ideas are listened to. Because they’re supported to grow, not controlled. And because they’re proud of the work they do. If you want to speak to anyone who works here to find out what it is really like just reach out to any of the team or come and have an informal coffee and look round.
