Are you an experienced Electrical Technician looking to make a real impact on high-security, high-complexity projects? We are hiring skilled professionals to join a dedicated team delivering installation, maintenance, and commissioning services at a critical site in Aldermaston.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Electrical installation and modifications
- Testing, trials, and commissioning
- EMIT (Examination, Maintenance, Inspection & Test) activities
- Working from technical drawings and schematics
- Ensuring all work complies with regulatory and legislative standards
- Accurately completing all required records and documentation
What We’re Looking For
- Recognised electrical apprenticeship or equivalent training
- City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Engineering
- 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations
- Strong experience in installation, maintenance, inspection & test
- Proficiency in interpreting electrical schematics and drawings
- Familiarity with IEE Regulations and site-based electrical work
- Confident using hand and power tools
Desirable (But Not Deal-Breakers):
- City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection & Testing)
- Experience on regulated or nuclear-licensed sites
- Triple Bar Training, CSCS Card, or Health & Safety Level 2
- GCSEs in Maths, English, and a technical subject
- Knowledge of AWE procedures or appointment as NP(E)
Security Requirements
All applicants must hold SC clearance and be eligible for DV clearance. You’ll need to be comfortable undergoing this process due to the nature of the site.
