We are currently seeking an experienced Section Engineer to join a major infrastructure project in Kent on a long-term contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high-profile scheme with a leading project team, supporting the successful delivery of complex civil engineering works.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce and manage 3-week lookahead programmes aligned with the main project programme
- Monitor progress, identify programme variances and escalate issues where required
- Review permanent and temporary works designs ahead of construction activities
- Support and mentor Site Engineers and Apprentices on specifications, standards and setting out
- Prepare and review Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) for self-delivered and subcontract works
- Carry out quality audits, raise NCRs where necessary and ensure corrective actions are closed out
- Review material approvals and subcontractor submissions
- Ensure works are delivered in line with environmental, sustainability and carbon reduction commitments
- Coordinate with community and stakeholder teams to minimise disruption and support engagement activities
- Monitor labour, plant and material usage in line with project cost plans
- Support procurement activities and oversee requisition processes
