Overview:

We are seeking a Civil Design Engineer to join a leading design team delivering non-infrastructure clean water projects. This is a hybrid working role, with office attendance required in Peterborough. You will play a key role in developing detailed civil designs for treatment and pumping facilities, ensuring alignment with client specifications and relevant industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce and review detailed civil design drawings and documentation.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and process engineers on multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Support optioneering and feasibility studies for new and existing water assets.
  • Prepare technical reports, design calculations, and schedules.
  • Ensure designs are compliant with CDM, DSEAR, and Water Industry specifications.
  • Contribute to HAZOPs, design reviews, and constructability assessments.

Requirements:

  • Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in the UK water sector, particularly clean water or non-infrastructure assets.
  • Strong understanding of civil design principles related to water treatment works and pumping stations.
  • Proficient in using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar tools.
  • Able to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary design environment.
  • Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., Sewers for Adoption, WIMES) is desirable.
