Overview:
We are seeking a Civil Design Engineer to join a leading design team delivering non-infrastructure clean water projects. This is a hybrid working role, with office attendance required in Peterborough. You will play a key role in developing detailed civil designs for treatment and pumping facilities, ensuring alignment with client specifications and relevant industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce and review detailed civil design drawings and documentation.
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and process engineers on multi-disciplinary projects.
- Support optioneering and feasibility studies for new and existing water assets.
- Prepare technical reports, design calculations, and schedules.
- Ensure designs are compliant with CDM, DSEAR, and Water Industry specifications.
- Contribute to HAZOPs, design reviews, and constructability assessments.
Requirements:
- Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in the UK water sector, particularly clean water or non-infrastructure assets.
- Strong understanding of civil design principles related to water treatment works and pumping stations.
- Proficient in using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar tools.
- Able to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary design environment.
- Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., Sewers for Adoption, WIMES) is desirable.
