The Role
As a Senior Safety Case Consultant, you will lead the delivery of technical safety case activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Leading and facilitating HAZID and HAZOP studies
- Producing and verifying radiological safety assessments, including dose calculations, risk assessments and ALARP demonstrations
- Preparing and reviewing nuclear safety documentation, including PSRs, PCSRs and other safety reports
- Managing technical delivery, ensuring work is completed to programme and budget while proactively managing project risks
- Providing technical guidance and mentoring junior consultants
- Supporting the development of robust safety case strategies and sharing best practice across multiple projects
- Working closely with engineering, radiological protection and wider project teams to deliver integrated safety solutions
About You
- Significant experience producing nuclear safety cases
- Strong understanding of ALARP principles and their practical application
- Knowledge of the Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR) Safety Assessment Principles
- Experience working collaboratively across multidisciplinary engineering teams
- An Engineering or Science degree (or equivalent experience)
- Chartered status, or be actively working towards professional registration (desirable)
- The ability to obtain and maintain SC Security Clearance
