We are seeking an experienced CE&I Front End Engineering Lead to take ownership of CE&I electrical systems design across a portfolio of projects within the FEED pipeline. You will lead the delivery of front-end and early-phase design activities, supporting projects through concept and preliminary design, with the potential to progress into detailed design. The role also includes providing design support during installation and commissioning phases. Working as part of a small, integrated design team, you will play a key role in shaping safe, compliant and deliverable CE&I solutions aligned to programme milestones.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and take full responsibility for CE&I design delivery aspects of assigned projects
- Deliver CE&I design packages in line with agreed scope, quality and schedule
- Work collaboratively within an integrated multi-disciplinary design team
- Produce and contribute to multi-discipline documentation including:
- Project Requirement Documents
- Basis of Design
- Project Verification Plans
- Quality Plans
- Design Justification Reports
Essential Experience & Skills
- Significant, demonstrable experience in CE&I project delivery
- Proven delivery of CE&I design packages from user requirements through to fully engineered, safe and compliant solutions
- Strong experience in:
- Space management and panel layouts
- Cable routing, cable management and cable calculations
- Process Instrumentation Design
- LV Electrical Power and Services Design
- Knowledge of CE&I Safety Systems
- Programmable Electronic Systems
- Radiometric Instrumentation
Essential Qualifications
- Minimum: ONC
- Preferred: Engineering Degree (BEng / MEng)
Desirable Experience & Qualifications
- Management or coordination of design delivery teams
- Machinery Safety and UKCA Marking
- Professional Registration: IEng or CEng
