Location: Between Water Orton & Curzon Street, Birmingham

Rate: £500-£520 per day (Inside IR35)

Contract: Until 31st December

Start Date: ASAP

Working Pattern: Hybrid - 3 days office/site, 2 days home working

Hours: 40 hours per week

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a major infrastructure project delivering complex civils, tunnel, and cross passage works on HS2. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a leading contractor on a high-profile programme with an immediate start available.

The successful candidate will support the commercial delivery of major civils packages, working closely with operational teams and subcontractors to ensure effective commercial management across the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing subcontractor accounts from procurement through to final account
  • Supporting CVR processes and monthly commercial reporting
  • Assisting with the administration of NEC3 Option C contracts
  • Supporting the commercial management of tunnel, civils, and cross passage works
  • Reviewing applications for payment, variations, and compensation events
  • Working closely with delivery teams to maintain commercial control across packages
  • Supporting cost forecasting and change management processes

Requirements

  • Previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor on major infrastructure or civils projects
  • NEC3 Option C experience is essential
  • Experience managing subcontractors and commercial reporting
  • Background in civils, tunnelling, rail, or heavy infrastructure projects preferred
  • Experience using CEMAR is desirable
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Additional Information

  • Hybrid working arrangement - 3 days office/site based and 2 days from home
  • Candidates must be office based on Tuesdays
  • Home working days cannot be fixed and must remain flexible
