An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Package Manager to join a major UK fusion and decommissioning programme, supporting the development of critical infrastructure that will enable the safe handling, packaging and management of radioactive materials.

Working as part of a high-profile engineering team, you will lead the integration and early-stage development of a complex facility adaptation project, bringing together engineering, civils, building services, operations and stakeholder requirements to shape the future delivery strategy. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and influencing major infrastructure programmes from concept through to delivery.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading facility integration and requirements management activities for a major infrastructure project.
  • Coordinating multidisciplinary engineering inputs across civils, structural, mechanical, electrical and building services.
  • Managing stakeholder engagement workshops to capture, validate and maintain project requirements.
  • Developing facility layouts, interface studies and building modification strategies.
  • Supporting engineering surveys, condition assessments and technical evaluations.
  • Producing strategic documentation including decision papers, risk registers, assumptions logs and governance reports.
  • Supporting RIBA Stage 1 planning and development of client-side strategy documents.
  • Coordinating technical interfaces across engineering, operations, estates, maintenance and project delivery teams.
  • Supporting project planning, cost estimates, programme development and risk management activities.

We’re Looking For Someone With

  • Experience delivering complex engineering, infrastructure or facility adaptation projects.
  • Strong stakeholder management and requirements gathering experience.
  • Background in multidisciplinary engineering integration and interface management.
  • Experience coordinating technical workshops and managing competing project priorities.
  • Understanding of facility refurbishment, brownfield projects or industrial infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of RIBA project stages, CDM Regulations and project governance.
  • Excellent planning, communication and technical writing skills.
  • Nuclear, defence or other highly regulated industry experience would be highly advantageous.
