The Role
We're looking for a hands-on General Worker with a mechanical or industrial background to support mechanical technicians and fitters on a long-term engineering programme. This role involves assisting with maintenance, installation, assembly and modification work, while ensuring high standards of health, safety and quality are maintained throughout.
Key Responsibilities
- Support mechanical technicians and fitters with maintenance and installation activities.
- Carry out general mechanical assembly and construction tasks.
- Move, store and maintain tools, equipment and materials.
- Keep work areas clean, organised and safe.
- Assist with documentation and maintenance records.
- Work to safe systems of work and method statements.
- Liaise with other teams to complete tasks efficiently.
Requirements
- Mechanical, industrial or engineering background.
- Experience working in a manufacturing, construction, maintenance or engineering environment.
- Understanding of health and safety procedures and safe systems of work.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and basic computer skills.
