Salary: ALT Grade F £29,071 - £31,015 FTE (plus retention payment and honorarium payment £1500)
We are recruiting for a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (ASC Intervention Lead) to join the team at Highfield Littleport Academy. This specialist role will focus on supporting children and young people with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) through targeted interventions, structured teaching approaches and specialist support that enables pupils to thrive both academically and socially. Working closely with others to deliver high-quality interventions, assess progress and provide guidance to colleagues to help develop effective autism-friendly practice across the school. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced practitioner who is passionate about improving outcomes for pupils with complex communication and interaction needs.

Summary of Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialist interventions for pupils with ASC, including structured teaching approaches such as TEACCH, Attention Autism and Lego Therapy.
- Plan, deliver and evaluate intervention programmes, using assessment information to monitor progress and inform next steps.
- Support pupils to develop communication, social interaction, emotional regulation, independence and engagement in learning.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to ensure interventions complement classroom provision and individual learning goals.
- Provide advice, guidance and modelling of effective strategies to colleagues to strengthen provision for learners with ASC across the school.
- Contribute to behaviour support planning and the development of personalised approaches that meet individual pupil needs.
- Record and assess pupil progress using school systems and contribute to reporting for families, leaders and professionals as required.
- Support the creation of a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment that promotes positive outcomes for all pupils.
