We are recruiting for Level 1 Teaching Assistant positions to join the team at Highfield Littleport Academy, supporting teachers to create a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment for pupils with additional needs. These roles are central to daily classroom life, working with individuals and small groups to encourage independence, build confidence and support both learning and wellbeing.
As a special school for children and young people aged 2-19 in Littleport, Highfield Littleport Academy is a close-knit and caring community where relationships matter. Summary of Key Responsibilities
- Support teaching and learning by working with individuals or small groups under the direction of the classroom teacher
- Help pupils understand instructions, remain engaged and develop independence in learning and play
- Assist with behaviour support, inclusion and the emotional and social wellbeing of pupils
- Prepare and maintain learning environments, resources and displays to support lessons
- Contribute to pupil supervision, record keeping, safeguarding and the safe running of daily school activities
