We are looking for a thoughtful and committed Class Teacher to join Highfield Ely Academy, a vibrant SEN school in Cambridgeshire where a nurturing, inclusive environment enables every learner to thrive, build independence and develop lifelong skills. This role centres on delivering well-planned, adaptive teaching that meets the diverse needs of pupils, supporting strong progress both academically and personally. Working closely with colleagues and support staff within the Active Learning Trust, the successful candidate will contribute to a collaborative culture focused on continuous improvement, positive behaviour and pupil wellbeing, making a meaningful difference to each student’s future.
Summary of Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver well-structured lessons, adapting teaching to meet the needs of all pupils and promote strong progress
- Assess, monitor and report on pupil achievement, using assessment to inform teaching
- Promote a safe, positive learning environment through effective behaviour management and safeguarding practices
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff to support pupil development and the wider life of the academy
