The Role
Are you a commercial leader with a proven track record of winning significant new clients in the creative, media, or employer brand space? Higherin is seeking a highly motivated and collaborative Head of Client Growth to drive new business for our Agency offering. The Head of Client Growth is responsible for generating, qualifying, and converting high-quality new opportunities. You will be the commercial spearhead, collaborating with our Account Directors, Creative, Operations, Strategy, and Delivery teams to shape effective, innovative, and deliverable proposals.
- Drive New Business and Pipeline Growth
- Execute a targeted new business strategy focused on early talent market priorities and commercial goals.
- Build prospect lists, conduct outreach, and open/qualify opportunities where Higherin can deliver strong value.
- Maintain accurate pipeline management and forecasting within HubSpot.
- Lead the Pitch and Proposal Process
- Lead discovery sessions with senior client stakeholders to define objectives and success measures.
- Translate client needs into clear internal briefs.
- Coordinate proposal development and lead the pitch team, ensuring a confident and consistent narrative.
- Commercial Leadership and Continuity
- Negotiate commercials, scope, and contractual terms.
- Oversee the production of Statements of Work (SOWs).
- Act as the commercial client lead for Year 1, ensuring commercial alignment, continuity from pitch to delivery, and supporting senior-level relationship building.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure proposals are deliverable and commercially sound.
- Act as a commercial coach for the delivery team.
- Align with the B2B Marketing function on campaigns, events, content, and outreach strategy, providing market insights to refine our positioning.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Proven experience leading multi-disciplinary pitches and winning new clients, ideally in an agency setting.
- Experience in business development or client leadership roles within creative, media, employer brand, or B2B services.
- Familiarity with CRM-driven sales processes (ideally HubSpot).
- Knowledge of early talent, employer brand, or recruitment marketing.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and proposal-writing skills.
- Commercially confident, able to structure clear, profitable scopes and pricing models.
- A professional, collaborative leadership style, with the ability to mentor Account Directors and work across multiple disciplines.
- Reliable and confident in operating within a clearly defined sales process, with strong organising and project management abilities.
We have a hybrid work set-up, and you'll be expected to work from our Brixton office every Thursday with our client-facing teams. Other travel to client offices (mostly in London) across the UK will be required.
Salary Between £55,000 and £65,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus commission.
First stage: video interview with the People Director, Ruby. Second stage: in-person (where possible) interview and task with Commercial Director, Abbie, and Head of Business Development, Jordan. Final stage: in-person interview with CEO, Ali, Head of Client Delivery, Charley, and Creative Director, Rob.
