My client, an established and well-respected professional service and technical recruitment agency in the city, is looking to hire several experienced recruitment consultants. They predominantly recruit various specialisms into the legal market in the UK and USA. They are seeking consultants with backgrounds recruiting into:

  • Office Support (senior levels)
  • HR
  • Sales/BD
  • Finance
  • Accountancy
  • Legal
  • Data and Analytics

They have desks for USA and UK markets and are able to hire at Senior or Principal level. They are happy to cross-train an experienced 360 agency recruiter from another professional market into their specialisms.

Role: Warm client base to cross-sell into. Very relationship-led senior recruitment. It will suit someone who is naturally good at networking and converting senior candidates to clients. Someone who makes the most of every call and relationship and moves with the market. 3-4 days in the office, 1-2 from home.

Why this business?

  • Up to 35% commission
  • 22-25 days annual leave
  • Flexible working hours with core hours and a mature attitude to working schedules
  • Employee assistance programme for finance, mental health, etc.
  • Awarded "Most effective professional development" and "Best Onboarding Programme" from the Recruits investing in Talent awards
  • Growth plans focused on upskilling
  • Average billings usually around £30K to £40K per month once established in the role
  • Make one placement a month roughly and bill US$500K - a realistic target and expectation for a good recruiter in their second year doing the role. On this basis, you would earn around £100K to £150K. Very high earning potential.
  • Work on a mixture of retained and contingent roles. Contingent roles are taken on exclusively or with limited competition.
  • Work closely with senior leaders in the business. All Directors are fee-earning billing consultants and provide support and training to new team members, no matter their level. They have a very good understanding of their markets.
  • They hire strategically and not at volume, allowing time and capacity to focus on making sure you are the highest billing that you can be in their business.
  • Existing clients to cross-sell your vertical into.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years Recruitment 360 experience from a professional background (Head office and commercial roles, not education, healthcare, industrial, etc.)
  • It is likely you will come from a background hiring HR, procurement, office support, data and analytics, Sales/BD, fee-earning lawyers, accountancy, etc.
  • Ideally, you will have Perm recruitment experience.
  • You will need to have been 360 in an agency and not come from an internal recruitment/TA background.
  • Experience networking at a senior level and flipping candidates to clients.
  • Very skilled in negotiating, upselling, making the most of every conversation, asking for leads, asking for referrals, etc.
  • Someone that works fast-paced, is laser-focused on what they are doing, and knows that results follow activity.
  • Someone that values a professional working environment and loves to be around like-minded hard-working people that are go-getting and want to earn as much as possible.
  • Able to converse with and communicate effectively with very senior and intelligent lawyers and legal professionals.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • Someone who loves to celebrate success, has a positive mental attitude, and has a good team-working nature.
