Turn digital traffic into real results

Are you passionate about digital performance, obsessed with improving user journeys and motivated by turning data into growth?

At Higher Ed Partners (HEP), we partner with universities to grow their online and blended education offerings. We’re looking for a commercially minded, hands-on Website & Digital Experience Manager to improve how our websites perform, ensuring more visitors become high-quality enquiries and applications.

This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of website optimisation in a fast-paced, results-driven environment. Working closely with our Director of Growth, you’ll shape our website roadmap, lead conversion rate optimisation (CRO), strengthen SEO and ensure our digital experience delivers measurable impact.

What you’ll be doing

  • Drive conversion and growth: Lead CRO strategies and A/B testing across our websites and landing pages, using data and user insight to improve conversion rates.

  • Own website performance: Improve site speed, Core Web Vitals, mobile experience, accessibility and overall usability.

  • Lead SEO and digital visibility: Drive technical and on-page SEO, working with content colleagues to improve search performance and visibility, including emerging AI-powered search.

  • Make data work harder: Own GA4 and Google Tag Manager, ensuring accurate tracking and actionable insights across marketing channels.

  • Shape the website roadmap: Turn business priorities into a clear delivery plan, working with developers to brief, prioritise, test and launch improvements.

  • Optimise the customer journey: Partner with content, paid media and social teams to create effective landing pages and seamless journeys from first visit to application.

  • Manage agency performance: Lead our CRO agency relationship, setting priorities, reviewing results and ensuring value for money.

  • Champion continuous improvement: Stay ahead of digital trends, experiment with new approaches and use AI tools to accelerate testing, analysis and optimisation.

What we’re looking for

We need someone who combines strong technical knowledge with commercial thinking, analytical skills and a drive to deliver.

Essential experience and skills:

  • At least four years’ experience in website optimisation, CRO, SEO or digital experience.

  • Proven experience running A/B testing and CRO programmes using platforms such as VWO, Optimizely or similar.

  • Strong technical and on-page SEO knowledge, with hands-on experience using tools such as Semrush or Ahrefs.

  • Confident using GA4 and Google Tag Manager to manage tracking, analyse performance and identify opportunities.

  • Good understanding of Core Web Vitals, site speed, accessibility and mobile optimisation.

  • Experience working with developers, writing clear technical briefs and managing website improvements through to release.

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to turn data and user behaviour into practical recommendations.

  • Experience managing agencies and collaborating across marketing, content and technology teams.

  • Familiarity with AI-powered search, Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) and AI tools for digital optimisation.

A degree or equivalent experience is required. Relevant GA4, SEO or CRO certifications are desirable.

Experience in higher education or lead generation would be an advantage.
