I am looking for a Development Manager to join a leading Investment Management firm specialising in the acquisition and delivery of Single Family Housing. With backing from a large global fund with deep roots in Real Estate, they are uniquely positioned as one of the largest investors and operators in this space.

The position will see you responsible for the successful delivery of forward funded projects, ensuring programmes and timeframes are hit, and that the Developers are working in agreement with the funding agreements. This is very much a delivery led role where you will challenge Developers and contractors throughout the build stages. It would suit someone who has experience managing the delivery of housing schemes.

The Development Manager's responsibilities include:

  • Effectively and efficiently managing projects on-site from acquisition through to completion.
  • Updating and reporting regularly to key stakeholders across the business.
  • Managing and monitoring project scope, time, and cost.
  • Reviewing specifications at underwriting, acquisition, and delivery stages.
  • Processing stage payments in line with the contracts.
  • Appointing required consultants for new projects, including Employer’s Agents and Clerks of Works.
  • Attending regular meetings on-site with the EA.
  • Managing the EA and developer relationships to ensure new business opportunities are available.

The Development Manager will have:

  • 3-5 years’ experience working in residential development, specifically construction.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Willingness to travel to multiple schemes.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Salary and package: £50,000 - £60,000 Discretionary bonus.
