We’re hiring an Asset Manager to join an established real estate investment and asset management platform backed by institutional capital, with a substantial UK portfolio. The platform operates a vertically integrated model, with asset management and operations sitting in-house. Assets are actively managed rather than passively held, and the business continues to deploy capital and grow its portfolio, creating scope for increased responsibility as it scales.
The role:
Working within a lean, collaborative team, you’ll take full ownership of assets and responsibility for performance in line with the business plan. The role is hands-on and commercially led, sitting close to the investment function and focused on execution rather than reporting. You’ll be responsible for translating strategy into delivery, ensuring assets perform operationally and financially in line with business plans, while working closely with investment, operations and finance colleagues.
What you’ll be doing:
- Owning asset-level business plans and accountability for performance
- Driving income, cost control and operational performance across the portfolio
- Leading capex, refurbishment and planned maintenance programmes
- Appointing and managing agents, operators, consultants and contractors
- Budgeting, forecasting and asset-level reporting
- Onboarding acquisitions into active management
- Supporting reforecasts, valuations and exit preparation
- Working directly with investment teams on underwriting and strategy
- Reporting on asset performance and value creation to senior stakeholders
About you:
The ideal candidate will have 3–6 years’ experience in a principal investor or institutional platform, with hands-on exposure to operational real estate, ideally within the living sector, a strong grasp of income, costs and capex, and the confidence to own assets end-to-end alongside investment teams; MRICS preferred but not essential.
Salary is up to c.70k plus bonus. If you’d like to explore the role further, apply with your CV and I’ll arrange a confidential discussion.
