I am currently working with a leading London Developer who are looking to appoint a newly created role to advance their profile and pipeline of projects. Historically, the business have focused on larger scale masterplans, and are now looking at single site schemes across London. The role would be to identify new opportunities for the business to acquire across a range of asset classes, but mainly around Living and Office, manage the acquisition and work on the Development Management of the project until planning. This is very much a standalone position as it’s the first within the company and will require enough experience to work independently. The Acquisition and Development Manager will: Be responsible for building and maintaining a strong network of agents in London Source and identify potential schemes for the business to acquire Manage the acquisition process – overseeing internal legal teams etc Appoint and manage external professional teams to assess massing and viability Manage the development of acquired schemes through until construction Work alongside internal teams such as Investment, and legal The successful candidate will: Be working client side for a London focused Developer Have a strong network of agents and land-owners etc. Have a proven track record of sourcing and acquiring Development sites Be able to Development Manage projects once acquired Have the gravitas to work independently and deliver for this new business unit (You will sit within the wider Development team and there will be plenty of interaction and crossover!)
