Highdown School and Sixth Form Centre is seeking a temporary curriculum Leader of Modern Foreign Languages to cover a maternity leave. The role is an exciting opportunity for an innovative and enthusiastic practitioner to contribute to our thriving school, teaching both French and Spanish at GCSE level.

Responsibilities

• Teach French and Spanish to GCSE students.
• Deliver engaging lessons across all years and abilities.
• Work collaboratively with a highly motivated teaching team.
• Provide high‑quality teaching and learning in every lesson.

Requirements

• Passion for languages and a proven ability to inspire students.
• Experience teaching French and Spanish up to GCSE.
• Willingness to teach across all years and abilities.
• Willingness to cover maternity leave.

Start Date & Contract

Start Date: April 2026
Contract: Temporary (to cover maternity leave)
Pay Scale: MPR/UPR (plus TLR1 £10,173)
Working Pattern: Full time
Closing Date: 19th January 2026
