Due to expansion, Highcroft Vets are looking for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their team as a Hospital Coordinator / Team Lead. Highcroft Whitchurch is a busy 24‑hour hospital, supported by a passionate team of vets, nurses, PCAs and receptionists. The role is 40 hours, working a mixture of early (7:30‑16:00) and late (12:00‑20:30) shifts, across 5 days with a share in the bank holiday and 1 in 8 weekend rota.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Leading a team of student nurses and veterinary care assistants
- Organising and evaluating how the hospital runs on a day‑to‑day basis
- Communicating with internal teams
- Coordinating teams across wards, inpatient, surgery, procedures, exotics, and imaging departments
- Delivering high‑quality care to our patients
Clinical Environment:
- Separate feline, canine, and exotic wards
- Specialist vivaria, aquaria, and large‑species housing
- State‑of‑the‑art surgical suite
- Access to digital X‑ray, CT scanner, endoscopy, and ultrasound
- On‑site emergency team for continuous support
