An established manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support the safe and efficient running of its production facility. This hands-on role is responsible for maintaining machinery, equipment, infrastructure, and site facilities to minimise downtime and ensure a safe working environment. The successful candidate will work closely with operational teams to support production activities, carry out preventative maintenance, and contribute to continuous improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out preventative maintenance on production machinery and equipment.
  • Diagnose and undertake minor mechanical repairs.
  • Support general building and site maintenance activities.
  • Conduct Health & Safety inspections and complete corrective actions.
  • Maintain production environments to required cleanliness and operational standards.
  • Coordinate and supervise contractors when required.
  • Keep accurate maintenance records and reports.
  • Support site improvement and development projects.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance issues as they arise.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety and environmental procedures.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Practical engineering and maintenance experience.
  • Strong mechanical fault-finding and repair skills.
  • Good understanding of workplace Health & Safety requirements.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively prioritise workloads.
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintenance activities.

  • Manual Handling Training
  • Abrasive Wheels Certification
  • First Aid Qualification

  • Electrical Safety Awareness Training
