An established manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support the safe and efficient running of its production facility. This hands-on role is responsible for maintaining machinery, equipment, infrastructure, and site facilities to minimise downtime and ensure a safe working environment. The successful candidate will work closely with operational teams to support production activities, carry out preventative maintenance, and contribute to continuous improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out preventative maintenance on production machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose and undertake minor mechanical repairs.
- Support general building and site maintenance activities.
- Conduct Health & Safety inspections and complete corrective actions.
- Maintain production environments to required cleanliness and operational standards.
- Coordinate and supervise contractors when required.
- Keep accurate maintenance records and reports.
- Support site improvement and development projects.
- Respond to emergency maintenance issues as they arise.
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety and environmental procedures.
Skills & Experience Required
- Practical engineering and maintenance experience.
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and repair skills.
- Good understanding of workplace Health & Safety requirements.
- Ability to work independently and effectively prioritise workloads.
- Previous experience within a manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environment.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintenance activities.
