We are seeking a Coatings Applicator to join our Client, a prestigious company based in Norwich. If you are reliable, enthusiastic, self-motivated, and have a strong eye for detail, we would love to hear from you. This role requires flexibility to travel and work outside normal hours, including weekends.
Key Responsibilities- Your responsibilities will include carrying out thorough surface preparation and applying coatings with precision to ensure durability and a high-quality finish.
- You will follow all safety rules, maintain excellent compliance standards, and contribute to a safe working environment.
- The role requires effective time management and coordination with the team to ensure all projects are completed on schedule.
- You will also be responsible for maintaining tools and equipment, ensuring they remain reliable and in good working order.
- Additionally, you will communicate clearly with colleagues and clients, providing regular updates, clarifying requirements, and supporting smooth project delivery.
- You will already have, or be ready to develop, competence in surface preparation techniques such as blasting, power tooling, and solvent cleaning.
- You should have an understanding of different coating types, application methods, and required film thicknesses.
- The role also requires the ability to operate and maintain a range of industry-specific tools and machinery.
- A strong commitment to health and safety practices, along with a clear understanding of legal responsibilities, is essential.
- You will be experienced in inspecting coatings for thickness, adhesion, uniformity, and overall appearance.
- Strong communication skills are also important, as you must be able to communicate professionally and effectively with colleagues and clients.
- Hours: 7:30am – 4:30pm, Monday to Friday
- Salary: £30,000 basic
- Overtime: Paid
