A small, high-performance team at the centre of a specialist reinsurance group are looking for several Computer Science/Maths graduates to join them in London. You will be joining a team that builds systems and tooling that are critical to the business. This is a business facing role that will interface daily with underwriting, actuarial, finance and investor relations.
It will provide you with the opportunity to learn about topics such as catastrophe modelling, capital raising and loss simulation, and in turn apply these learnings to the systems and tooling that you build. You will take ownership of projects very early on, giving you the freedom to innovate and take responsibility for the solutions that you create.
Being part of a small, high-performing team, the work that you produce will be widely visible and make an impact on key business functions, which will provide you with the potential to progress quickly.
The successful candidate will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail and desire to deliver results. You will be curious about the nature of the wider business, and eager to collaborate with the rest of the team to drive innovation.
The firm have a very specific set of requirements and will not look outside of this:
- Have studied Computer Science or Maths at a Top University
- Have strong OOP β language is not important; Python, Java, C++/C#
- Strong problem-solving capability
- Some SQL experience
- Have had internship or placement experience (non-negotiable)
Salary range is Β£45K-Β£55K + bonus + pension + healthcare + gym + opportunity for international travel. Your output will determine how far and how fast you progress and top performers will be compensated accordingly.
