Newly created position within a specialist risk manager. We’re looking for a Senior Data Scientist / Data Analyst who can help unlock underwriting potential and drive competitive advantage in risk selection.
The role will involve:
- Building exposure datasets
- Developing analytical models & dashboard (Power BI)
- Integrating advanced AI/LLMs to support decision-making across the business
We want someone who is a go-getter, who can work with autonomy and who’s driven to find value within data. Strong SQL and Python skills are fundamental; there is no scope to learn on the job.
From an industry perspective, we’d be interested in someone with an insurance/reinsurance background, or with knowledge of cat modelling, risk analytics or geospatial analytics.
You have to be a team player, have the ability to communicate effectively across the business and be easy to work with.
Base salary is £75K - £85K + Bonus (15%) + Benefits with a tonne of potential to build upon this in the medium to long-term. Mainly based in office with some flexibility to work from home on a Friday. Location is EC4.
