Purpose of the Role
CLIENT is looking for a SAP Data and Integration Business Analyst who can help define and manage business requirements across SAP data, interfaces, reporting, migration, and reconciliation. The role should ensure data and integration needs are understood early, documented clearly, tested properly, and transitioned into support. The person should work closely with business teams, data owners, SAP functional teams, integration architects, reporting teams, migration teams, vendors, and service operations to reduce delivery risk and improve data confidence.
What We Expect This Role to Deliver
- Capture business data requirements, reporting needs, integration touchpoints, migration rules, and reconciliation expectations.
- Document source-to-target requirements, data definitions, ownership, quality rules, transformation logic, and exception handling.
- Support analysis of interfaces between SAP and connected systems, including Finance, reporting, data platforms, and operational tools.
- Work with business and technical teams to define test scenarios for data migration, integration, reporting, and reconciliation.
- Track data issues, design decisions, dependencies, risks, and readiness actions through delivery governance.
- Support cutover, go-live, hypercare, operational handover, and post-go-live data quality improvements.
Candidate Profile
Must Have
- Business Analyst experience in SAP data, integration, reporting, migration, ERP transformation, or enterprise systems delivery.
- Good understanding of data requirements, data quality, master data, interfaces, reporting, reconciliation, and migration lifecycle.
- Experience documenting data rules, mapping requirements, integration requirements, test scenarios, defects, and business sign-off criteria.
- Ability to work across business data owners, SAP teams, integration teams, reporting teams, vendors, and service teams.
- Strong analytical, documentation, stakeholder management, and issue-resolution skills.
Good to Have
- Experience supporting cutover, mock migration cycles, reconciliation, data cleansing, or operational data quality improvement.
- Exposure to SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP Integration Suite, SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud, BW, middleware, APIs, or ETL tools.
- Experience with Finance data, customer/vendor master data, cost centres, profit centres, chart of accounts, or reporting hierarchies.
What Good Looks Like
- Data and integration requirements are captured early and do not become late-stage delivery blockers.
- Business and technical teams share a common understanding of data definitions, ownership, flows, and reconciliation rules.
- Go-live confidence improves because data quality, integration readiness, and operational handover are properly controlled.
- Migration, reporting, and interface testing are well prepared, with clear scenarios and sign-off criteria.
- Data issues are visible, prioritised, and managed through clear ownership and governance.
