Highbridge Resourcing are a social care agency and we are recruiting a level 3 qualified Support Worker to work with a young person on a 2 to 1 care package based in Weston Super Mare. The young person is female and has complex mental health needs. The support worker role is available on a long term contract basis and requires commitment and stability to enable relationships to form.

As a support worker, you will be supporting a young person on a 2 to 1 basis, working as part of a wider team, you will support the young person with the following;

  • Relationship with family, peers, neighbours, staff and other professionals.
  • Personal and domestic hygiene.
  • Budgeting.
  • Physical, mental and emotional health.
  • Training/education/employment/recreation.

The service supports young people age 16 years plus that require 24 hour independent living support. The shifts available are

  • 24 hour shifts (0800-2300 plus a sleep in)

You can choose how many hours a week you would like to work as part time and full time work is available. A minimum of 1 shift per week is required.

The ideal support worker will:

  • Have an NVQ level 3 in children and young people, or equivalent qualification (such as Counselling, Psychology Degree, Nursing Diploma)
  • Have at least 6 months paid experience in childrens/young people or similar support worker role in the UK.
  • Have experience as a support worker for young people
  • Be motivated, flexible, and reliable
  • A current DBS or happy to undertake a new one

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: £12.83-£13.70 per hour

Expected hours: 15 60 hours per week
