Job Role: Senior Residential Support WorkerYoung People with emotional and behavioual needs

Location: Walsall and Cannock
Contract: Permanent (No sponsorship is available)
Qualification: Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
Salary: £13.00 to £13.50 per hour plus £50 per sleep in

As a Senior Residential Support Worker, youll work alongside the care team to ensure high-quality support for our young people. Youll also act as a shift leader, supporting your colleagues and handling day-to-day responsibilities to keep the home running smoothly.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading shifts, supporting staff, and ensuring smooth handovers
  • Supporting children with routines, school, hobbies, and emotional wellbeing
  • Being a key point of contact for professionals and family members
  • Handling shift audits, safety checks, and helping manage rotas
  • Assisting with supervisions, recruitment, and leadership development
  • Writing reports, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance
  • Safeguarding children and creating a safe, structured, and nurturing home
  • Administering medication and supporting health and wellbeing needs
What you need
  • Experience working with vulnerable teens or those with EBD, SEN or trauma
  • A calm, caring, and consistent approach to challenges
  • Level 3/4 in Health & Social Care (or willing to enrol within 6 months)
  • Full UK driving licence (or willing to get one within 6 months)
  • A strong understanding of safeguarding, boundaries, and emotional support
